Lead Engineer - Structures

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

After an intensive training period, you will become a Lead Structures Engineer within the Engineering Department.

In this role you will contribute to the creation of the technical part of proposals, assess your requirements and establish the external design & development plan.

In addition, you will take care of the selection and application of technologies and develop (draft) designs for the (sub-) systems. You will contribute to the technical part of the project reviews. You will also play an active role in making suggestions for further development in the field. In projects you will take the role of work package manager and lead approximately ten project members in the operations.

Skills and Experience:

• University degree;
• Min 5 years of experience in the design of lightweight structures;
• Knowledge and experience in working with mathematical models such as NASTRAN / PATRAN and familiarity with the requirements that materials should meet;
• Proactive, problem solving and results-oriented attitude; capable of directing and steering a group of specialists;
• Able to translate complex customer wishes into concrete plans and thereby demonstrate an understanding of the interests and political forces inside and outside the organization;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Fluent in English.

Duration: 1 year with the possibility of indefinite employment
