Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a LEO Spacecraft Operations Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite as part of the LEO Spacecraft Operations Team. Your tasks will include:

  • Implementation of operational procedures for in-orbit and future LEO/EO spacecraft;
  • Supporting routine operations and preparation for upcoming LEO missions including:
    • Data Handling, Power/Thermal and AOCS;
    • Payload monitor and control, Instrument on-board data handling;
    • Instrument monitor and control;
    • On-board software maintenance and ground segment operations.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree or equivalent in science or engineering;
  • Several years of professional experience in spacecraft operations engineering preparation and operation as well as in the development and validation of operational spacecraft procedures;
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: Platform subsystems; Payload subsystems; Satellite EO Instruments;
  • Familiarity with some of the following would be an advantage: OBSM; LEO spacecraft routine operations; EPOC 2000; MOIS; C++; Visual Basic; MATLAB; SPICE; IDL; PV-Wave; Change control and configuration management;
  • Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
