As support to a European space company we are looking for a Galileo Control Segment Deployment and Validation Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working onsite as part of the Operations Engineering Unit to support in the domains of integration and validation of the Galileo Control systems. Your tasks will include:

• AIV resident for the Galileo Control Segment (GCS) team;
• Monitor the deployment of the GCS backup in Fucino;
• Responsible of the integration, verification and validation for supporting the OHB SVTs;
• Responsible for the inter GCC or GCS to GMS verification;
• Provide support in the follow-up of the GCS facility deployment;
• Monitor the progress of the deployment and installation in coordination with the relevant Galileo team members;
• Assess the progress status of the activities and report to the Galileo Project;
• Support GCS contractor on the AR investigation.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering;
• Several years of experience in the integration, verification and testing of Ground Control systems as well as in Launch Campaign and/or Flight Operations with an operational role as member of a mission control team (Flight Control Team, Ground Operations, SW support, etc.);
• Knowledge of ECSS Standards (Operations engineering, TM/TC protocols);
• Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
