As support to a European space company we are looking for an OBC /TMTC Subsystem Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a German organisation operating space flight missions and is a leading European operations institution for human and unmanned space flight. You will be working onsite to support the following tasks/areas:

• Preparation, test and validation of OBC/TMTC operations procedures;
• OBC/TMTC performance monitoring and trend analysis;
• Analysis of telemetry data;
• Anomaly reporting;
• FDIR reporting and administration;
• Subsystem configuration management;
• Configuration of ground systems;
• Generation and maintenance of telemetry displays;
• Maintenance of TM/TC software tools;
• Participation to simulation and test campaigns;
• Maintenance of databases;
• Generation and update of documentation an reports;
• Maintenance of checklists and documentation;
• On-call support.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in a relevant discipline;
• Several years of professional experience in spacecraft systems as well as in telemetry processing and command generation systems (e.g. SCOS 2000), including the related databases;
• Several years of professional experience in spacecraft on-board data handling systems as well as TM/TC ground software tools
• Good knowledge of databases;
• Willingness to provide on-call support;
• Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be an asset.
