As support to a European space company we are looking for a Propulsion QA Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. The job is performed within the project quality team of the ATV project (Automated Transfer Vehicle). The job holder will perform QA surveillance and quality management for assemblies and equipments of the ATV propulsion subsystem. Your tasks will include:

• Acceptance of propulsion subsystem assemblies and equipments;
• Surveillance and close-out of NCRs and anomalies;
• Monitoring of the manufacturing, integration and test activities with audits, MIPs and KIPs;
• Surveillance and maintenance of the PA&S requirements baseline for the subcontracted items;
• Supervision of the subcontractors PA&S activities.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or in an equivalent discipline;
• Several years of professional experience in spaceflight technology, space projects, especially propulsion subsystems;
• Experience with ESA as final customer and in quality assurance management;
• Familiarity with production, engineering and test;
• Good communication and analytical skills;
• Willingness to travel for periodical missions;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Advanced German skills advantageous.
