As support to a European space company we are looking for an AIT QA Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. The job is performed within the project quality team of the ATV project (Automated Transfer Vehicle). The job holder will perform QA surveillance and quality management of the AIT (Assembly, Integration and Test) activities. Your tasks will include:

• Regular ATV NRB;
• Daily tracking, maintenance and close-out of NCRs and anomalies;
• Performance of MIPs and KIPs following the ATV integration progress;
• Preparation of the ATV acceptance data package;
• Control of the AIT quality activities;
• Review and approval of the AIT project documentation.

Skills

• You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or in an equivalent discipline;
• Several years of professional experience in spaceflight technology, space projects and in quality assurance management;
• Experience with ESA as final customer;
• Knowledge of production, engineering and tests;
• Good communication and analytical skills;
• Willingness to travel for periodical missions to Kourou, French Guiana;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Advanced German skills advantageous.
