As support to a European space company we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for AIT
Activities
Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space systems and security applications. You will be working on-site as Mechanical Engineer for AIT, responsible for the following activities:
- Planning and supervision of AIT of complex satellite systems;
- Development of processes for test and verification of satellites in a small serial production;
- Development of system level procedures;
- Coordination of AIT activities with suppliers and subcontractors;
- Support to the development and implementation of strategies for satellite production;
- Evaluation of schedules, cost and resource plans;
- Development, maintenance and evaluation of AIT documentation.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in a relevant Engineering or science discipline;
- Several years of professional experience as a satellite systems engineer in the space business, preferably in ESA or commercial space projects;
- Experience with hardware projects in project phases B/C/D in satellite AIT (focus: structural/mechanical AIT) and serial production;
- Ability to work independently, strong communication skills;
- Fluency in English language is mandatory; German is advantageous.
