Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite as part of the ground station engineering team. Your tasks will include:

• Ground Station requirements analysis, design and documentation;
• Translation of mission ground segment requirements into detailed ground station system requirements;
• Support the preparation of ground stations for future missions;
• Support the implementation of ground stations their validation and verification;
• Support the procurement of ground station sub-systems and their integration;
• Contribute towards the station test lab development.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent;
• Extensive professional experience in satellite ground station engineering;
• System and subsystem design and implementations for TT&C, mission specific and satellite communications Ground Stations;
• Antennas subsystem in S and Ka band, in both mechanical/structural aspects and tracking subsystems;
• In Orbit Test subsystems and Ground Stations and IOT test procedures;
• Link budget analysis and tools in L-Band, S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, Ku-Band and Ka-Band;
• System Engineering practices and experience on the implementation of the full lifecycle of requirements engineering from the definition phase through the maintenance, traceability, verification and validation stages using formal methods and tools;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
