Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Ground Station Maintenance Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite as part of the ground station maintenance and operations engineering team. Your tasks will include:
- Ground Station requirements analysis, design and documentation;
- Engineering of modifications/improvements to the ground segments;
- Planning, implementation and testing of modifications/improvements;
- Provision of support to operations during critical mission phases;
- Status reports on the performance of the ground stations and associated systems;
- Testing, integration and validation of ground station subsystem upgrades;
- Investigation and rectification of problems.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent;
- Professional experience in the Operations and Maintenance of large satellite TT&C ground stations;
- Ground station design/integration/testing;
- Large antennas and tracking systems including Antenna Control Unit (ACU) and tracking receivers;
- TT&C baseband equipment (including ranging systems) including of type IN-SNEC Cortex;
- High Data Rate Demodulators;
- Maintenance and operations of large ground stations including site infrastructure;
- Local and remote Monitoring & Control of large ground station and related databases and automated procedures;
- Antennae, ACU for LEO satellites;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
