As support to a European space company we are looking for an MTG Mission Operations Facility Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite as part of the Mission Operations Facility (MOF) team within the Geostationary Orbit (GEO) Division. Your tasks will include:
- Support the MTG ground segment team and managers;
- Interact with suppliers and partner organisations;
- Support to reviews on MOF level and subsystem level;
- Identification of review item discrepancies (RIDs) in data packages;
- Preparation of technical notes and attendance at technical meetings;
- Support the definition of the MOF external interfaces;
- Analysis and review of any relevant MTG documentation;
- Participation to MTG MOF level testing and related activities;
- Generation of test plans and/or procedures;
- Analysis of test results and reports on facility, subsystem and on system level;
- Installation of the MTG MOF Tools;
- Verification of correct installation;
- Mission Operations Facility interface engineering;
- Monitor, analyse and steer the lifecycle for all related anomaly reports (ARs) and/or non-conformance reports (NCRs) on the MTG MOF.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in a relevant discipline;
- Several years of experience in Mission Operations System specifications, development and procurement within a space system as well as in SCOS 2000 based Mission Control Subsystem Design and Development;
- Good knowledge of Flight Dynamics Subsystem Design and Development as well as AIV related activities (test procedure generation, requirements verification and validation, test report generation);
- Familiarity with interface engineering;
- Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
