GNSS Expert

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground
station tracking network services to its users. You will be working onsite as part of the
Navigation Support Office and will contribute to the office’s existing and future projects,
including support to ESA missions such as Galileo and EGNOS, third party projects for
external customers and infrastructure activities. Emphasis will be on improvements of
algorithms. Your tasks will include:

• Support to navigation system improvements in the areas of (non-exhaustive list):
  • GNSS observation modelling;
  • Precise orbit and clock determination algorithms;
  • GNSS data processing schemes (batch and real-time). Support to ESA and 3rd party projects requiring Navigation expertise
  • Consultancy;
  • Running simulations and test scenarios;
• Support to international collaboration activities in the same areas.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in a relevant discipline;
• Several years of professional experience in algorithm development, including:
  • Orbit determination and prediction (MEO and LEO), relevant space environment modelling and satellite tracking data processing techniques;
  • Good knowledge of Fortran and C / C++, GNSS space and ground systems and GNSS data processing techniques;
• Capable of following operational procedures for nominal and contingency scenario;
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams;
• Good communication skills;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
