As support to a European space company we are looking for a
Lead Systems Engineer
for Earth Observation Instruments

Activities

Our customer is a European leading system house, specialised in development and
implementation of high technology solutions for aerospace, science and industry. In
your role as Lead Systems Engineer you will understand yourself as a team player
within the project management & administration and in cooperation with PA/QA and the
AIT department.

As final technical management instance you will be responsible for:

• System engineering for spaceborne Earth Observation instruments;
• Design, development and verification of optical payloads (e.g. spectrometers);
• Technical project management of an engineering team;
• Acting as technical system representative to the customer;
• Preparation and attendance of project reviews;
• Reporting to the Customer and to an international project team.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• System engineering for optical Earth Observation instruments, e.g. spectrometers;
• Optical engineering background;
• Technical project management;
• Experience with ESA projects;
• Leadership skills;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; German would be an asset.
