Job Description

As support to a European space company we are looking for an
EPS Instrument Quality Assurance Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite
data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite to support the
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer on all quality matters associated with the EPS
Instruments. Your tasks will include:

  • Support to producing Quality Assurance (QA) documentation in line with project requirements and policies;
  • Support to definition and implementation of QA processes and working practices;
  • Monitoring / follow-up of non-conformances, and review of Requests for Waiver (RfW) and Requests for Deviation (RfD);
  • Review of progress reports and participation to regular Progress Meetings;
  • Participation to the instrument Acceptance Reviews;
  • Follow-up of activities related to cleanliness, materials and processes as well as parts procurement and related alerts;
  • Support to design and build standard reconciliation via the control of Waivers, Deviations and non-conformances;
  • Management of non-conformance resolution including attendance to Non- Conformance Review Boards;
  • Support to the forthcoming Launch Campaign QA Activities;
  • Capture Lessons Learned and support the elaboration of QA plans;
  • Support to System level Verification & Validation and Operations Preparation QA activities.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of Quality Assurance in spacecraft hardware - preferably in the area of remote sensing instruments;
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and practical knowledge in problems related to cleanliness, to materials and processes qualification, validation, and to parts quality levels, screening and alerts;
  • Experience of space hardware from its procurement, through its preparation for launch and its commissioning;
  • Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
