HE Space Operations is a growing international space company. For over 25 years we
have provided our customers with consultancy services in Engineering and Business
Administration.

As support to a European space company we are looking for a
Systems Engineering Support (model based)

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite
data, images and products for its users. You will be working onsite as part of the Data
Processing and S/W System Engineering Team. Your tasks will include:

  • Review existing design documentation and interface with system engineers to understand system drivers and common and differentiating aspects of the different operational and future systems;
  • Undertake analysis of Operations Concepts;
  • Evaluate and critically assess design documentation;
  • Support the production, update and maintenance of the System/Ground Segment reference architecture;
  • Review existing functional models and clarify functional allocation design decisions (system drivers, common and differentiating aspects);
  • Use the documented results of the analysis performed on the different operations concepts;
  • Support the generation, allocation/association and apportionment of requirements to the functional model and reference architecture;
  • Contribute to the definition and/or adaptation/tailoring to the needs of existing or new formal design methodologies, methods, practices and tools.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent;
  • Several years of experience in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) as well as in the conceptualisation, specification and design of complex software intensive systems;
  • Good knowledge of System Engineering practices and experience on the implementation of the full lifecycle of requirements engineering;
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of at least one of the MBSE tools available;
  • Good knowledge of EA, Core software and WFM;
  • Ability to work independently as well as good communication, management and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
