HE Space Operations is a growing international space company. For over 25 years we have provided our customers with consultancy services in Engineering and Business Administration.
As support to a European space company we are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer (TTC & DHS)
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working onsite as part of the Galileo Flight Control Team. Your tasks will include:
- Close interaction and working with the other Galileo LEOP SOEs;
- Review of documentation produced by the Galileo spacecraft manufacturer (SSEG);
- Review of the procedures created by SSEG and OPS;
- Development of LEOP specific flight operating procedures and contingency recovery procedures using the MOIS tools;
- Providing specialist TTC & DHS advice on the development and content of the Operational Database;
- Development of tools to manage the TTC & DHS subsystem during LEOP – in particular ANDs, GRDs, OBSM, mimics and off-line tools;
- Validation of procedures using the Galileo Constellation Simulator (CSIM) and the Galileo LEOP specific (SCOS2000 based) control system (L-SCCF);
- Preparation for and participation in the SVTs;
- Identification, recording, investigation and progression of spacecraft and ground- based anomalies during the SVTs, simulations campaign and LEOP;
- Preparation for and participation in the simulations campaign;
- Assistance to the simulations officer to provided specialist TTC & DHS knowledge;
- Participation in the LEOP and contribution to the post-LEOP report.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree in engineering, physics or in a relevant discipline;
- Several years of professional experience in spacecraft operations and spacecraft and/or operational applications;
- Willingness to work in shifts;
- System-mindedness and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; French would be an asset.
