Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Multi-mission Software Librarian
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Operations Department Maintenance and Engineering team. Tasks will include:
- Support the development and maintenance of current and future ground segments
- Maintenance and re-design of software build environment, building, packaging and distribution of software releases and patches
- Support the operational UNIX and Windows ground segment facilities
- Establishment of maintenance policies and procedures
- Coordination with external providers of maintenance services.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering
- Professional experience of software development and maintenance in a configuration controlled environment applying formal Change Management
- Operation and maintenance of large, real-time monitor & control and data processing systems running under UNIX and Windows Servers
- Knowledge of tools make, imake, CVS, SubVersion, ClearCase,
- Programming languages C, C++, Java, Visual Basic and/or Fortran
- UNIX and Windows administration, databases (Sybase / Oracle / MS-Access)
- Able to work independently good analytical and good communication skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
