Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Mission and Systems Engineering Team.

Tasks will include:

• Analysis overall space system design with respect to flight dynamics aspects
• Definition and implementation of flight dynamics tools for mission analysis
• Flight dynamics system user requirements specification and analysis
• Study and prototype flight dynamics related algorithms
• Implementation of flight dynamics test tools
• Contributing to the Ground Segment design reviews.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in mathematics, physics or engineering with specialisation in orbital mechanics
• At least 5 years professional experience in satellite flight dynamics
• Thorough understanding of orbital mechanics and orbital control for LEO and GEO
• Knowledge of flight dynamics systems used to operate LEO and GEO missions
• Specification, development, procurement and AIV of flight dynamics systems
• Mission analysis activities
• Sound knowledge of UNIX/Linux as well as programming (FORTRAN)
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
