Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Mission Operations System team.

Tasks will include:

• Satellite monitoring and control system requirements definition
• Support the procurement of the monitor and control system for a future EO mission
• Interact with suppliers and partner organisations
• Analysis of overall system architecture and review of architectural concept
• Support the verification and validation of the system against the requirements
• Contribute towards the preparation for mission operations.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in science or engineering
• Extensive professional experience in spacecraft mission control system engineering
• In depth knowledge of SCOS-2000 based mission control systems
• Integration, verification and validation of satellite control systems
• UNIX operating system usage and configuration management with CVS
• ECSS standards and best practice in the field of space mission control
• TM / TC Database design, implementation and testing
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
