Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a Monitor and Control System Engineer
Activities
Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the Mission Operations System team.
Tasks will include:
- Satellite monitoring and control system requirements definition
- Support the procurement of the monitor and control system for a future EO mission
- Interact with suppliers and partner organisations
- Analysis of overall system architecture and review of architectural concept
- Support the verification and validation of the system against the requirements
- Contribute towards the preparation for mission operations.
Skills
You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
- University degree or equivalent in science or engineering
- Extensive professional experience in spacecraft mission control system engineering
- In depth knowledge of SCOS-2000 based mission control systems
- Integration, verification and validation of satellite control systems
- UNIX operating system usage and configuration management with CVS
- ECSS standards and best practice in the field of space mission control
- TM / TC Database design, implementation and testing
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
