Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be working on-site as a Functional Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer in the METOP project. You will responsible for the following activities:

• Support to Integrated System Test:
  • Create sequences and scripts
  • Debugging
  • Coding
  • Test specification
  • Analysis of applicability of specifications
• Functional test support
• Support to test procedure implementation
• System power-up and shut-down
• Work in the check-out room at a console
• Support to mission reference scenario test
• Support of unit and instrument level tests (relevant to the identified subsystem)
• Support instrument related preparation of tests
• Participation and support of Test Readiness and Flight Readiness Reviews
• Participation during functional instrument tests

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant discipline
• Several years of experience in functional Satellite AIT activities
• Ability to work under high pressure and with minimum supervision.
• Fluency in English is mandatory and a basic knowledge of German would be an advantage, together with good communication and team work skills.
