Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site within the System Engineering Group as a member of the System and Operation Preparation Team. Tasks will include:

• IV&V activities for a satellite Earth Observation ground segment
• Contribute towards the production of high-level plans for flight operation and payload data systems
• Generation of detailed IV&V test specifications
• Definition and development of test tools and test data sets
• Support project management, risk assessment, anomaly reporting and tracking
• Support the timely and efficient execution of the system commissioning.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in computer science or related subject
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the IV&V of EO satellite systems
• Familiarity with the EO system lifecycle from design to validation
• Preparation of IV&V plans, specifications and procedures
• Knowledge of test data requirements to support EO IV&V activities
• Familiarity with CCSDS and ECSS standards
• Able to work independently and good communication skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
