Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space company we are looking for a Propulsion Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. You will be working on-site as a Propulsion Engineer, working on prestigious space projects like the Ariane 5 new upper stage development. You will especially be responsible for the following activities:

  • Support to stage system development activities related to stage, engine and fluid control equipment (FCE)
  • Support of propulsion system activities considering the technical coherence with the stage system
  • Support to interface documentation
  • Establishment of stage system specification and contribution to establishment of subsystem specification, especially for engine and functional propulsion
  • Performance of concept studies for new and innovative propulsion systems
  • Performance of engineering analysis of existing propulsion systems and application of these models for functional analysis
  • Establishment of mathematical models of stage propulsion systems and application of these models for functional analysis
  • Hydraulic and fluid dynamic analysis and characterization of FCE
  • Analysis of fuelling and pressurization of complex of mono or bi-propellant syst.

Skills

You  ideally have the following qualifications and experience:
  • University degree in any relevant subject
  • Several years of experience in space environment and in propulsion engineering
  • Experience in propulsion system engineering, mathematical modelling of propulsion systems and components, CFD experience, analyses of propulsion systems, experience with development of engines and propulsion system equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, the knowledge of German and/or French would be an asset
