Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the System Engineering Support Division. Tasks will include:

• Ground Station requirements analysis, design and documentation
• Translation of mission ground segment requirements into detailed ground station system requirements
• Support the preparation of ground stations for future missions
• Support the implementation of ground stations their validation and verification
• Support the procurement of ground station sub-systems and their integration
• Contribute towards the station test lab development.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in science or engineering
• At least 5 years professional experience in satellite ground station engineering
• Telemetry, Tracking and Command baseband equipment
• Verification and validation of large antennas and tracking systems
• Modulation techniques, RF and microwave test tools and test techniques
• Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards applicable to both space and ground links
• Good oral and written communication skills including production of documentation
• Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
