Do you want to be part of the space future? As support to a European space organisation we are looking for a LEO Mission Control Facility Software Engineer

Activities

Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climate-related satellite data, images and products for its users. You will be working on-site as a member of the LEO Monitoring and Control Applications Team. Tasks will include:

  • Design, implement and maintain mission control facility tools and functions
  • Capture and analysis of user requirements
  • Investigation and correction of anomalies in operational systems
  • Preparation of maintenance procedures, performance of non-regression testing
  • Monitoring of operational facilities, take preventive action to avoid malfunction
  • Ensure operational continuity.

Skills

You ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree or equivalent in science or engineering
  • At least 5 years experience including satellite ground control systems (e.g. EPOCH)
  • Mission control function specification, development and AIV
  • Programming in C, C++, Java, Python under MS Windows and UNIX/Linux/AIX
  • Web development: PHP, CSS, HTML, XML
  • OOD/A/P with UML and MySQL
  • CVS, Subversion, Dimensions
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, some knowledge of French would be an asset.
